With more than 120 color photographs, Images of Kansas City provides an exquisite view of one of the country's most desirable places to live. This outstanding collection showcases the many landmarks and scenes associated with Kansas City: Country Club Plaza, with its beautiful fountains and statues; two great sports teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals; buildings such as the Power & Light Building, the H. The professional class made their voice heard with the establishment of the Kansas City Monarchs baseball team, the Kansas City Call newspaper, and election of the city's first black mayor, Emmanuel Cleaver.
